Like, but make it algorithm-approved? Director Vignesh Shivan Love Insurance Company (LIK) is asking for just that, and its newly released trailer is already the talk of the town online. The film explores a futuristic world where relationships are decided by algorithms rather than emotions.
Starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Kriti Shetty, the much-awaited sci-fi romantic drama is backed by actor-producer Nayanthara. After a long and winding release journey, the film is all set to hit the theaters on April 10.
Trailer introduces Friend The actor as a spirited young man who meets Dheema, played by Kriti, in a rehabilitation centre. It appears that Dheema is overly dependent on her phone and is seeking digital validation in place of real human connection. This is followed by a heartfelt attempt by the hero to convince her that love does not need technical approval to exist.
Pradeep brings his trademark energy to the role, while Kriti gives an interesting, contemporary edge to her character. SJ Suryah adds a layer of unpredictability, and the supporting cast including Yogi Babu, Seeman and Gauri Kishan complete the vibrant world of the film.

However, the road to release has not been easy. Love Insurance Company It was initially scheduled for September 18, 2025, which was pushed to October 17 for Diwali. It was later rescheduled to avoid box office clash with Pradeep’s other film. Friend. Subsequent delays led to the film being pushed to December 18, 2025, and then to February, with speculation of a Valentine’s Day release, which ultimately did not materialize.
While Shivan had earlier announced the release date as April 3, 2026, the film has now been officially locked for this Friday, April 10.
