Pradeep Ranganathan’s science-fiction comedy drama Love Insurance Company (LIK) ended its journey on a disappointing note at the box office. The Tamil film grossed approximately Rs. Completed his entire theater performance with earnings of Rs. 58 crores at the worldwide box office. Out of this the film made approximately Rs. 45 crore from domestic markets, while overseas territories contributed US$1.4 million (₹13 crore).
Directed by Vignesh Sivan, Love Insurance Company (LIK) has collected approximately Rs. 31.50 crores in Tamil Nadu, which is very less. The film grossed approximately Rs. Rs 8.50 crore from Telugu states. 4 crore from Karnataka, while the rest of the Indian markets collected around Rs. Contributed. 1 crore to tally.
The film received a mixed response among the audiences, which affected its performance at the box office. It not only proved to be Pradeep Ranganathan’s lowest-grossing film in India, but also his first flop as an actor. For the record, his previous release, Dude, was a successful venture, earning over Rs. 56 crore in Tamil Nadu alone, which is about 45 per cent more than when LIK was last seen.
