Love Insurance Company (LIK) starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Kriti Shetty in lead roles has been awaiting release for a long time. Now, it looks like the film will release on Good Friday this year and the director has also hinted towards the same.

Love Insurance Company It is expected to be released in theaters on April 3, 2026. Although there is no official confirmation, director Vignesh Shivan has hinted at the release of the science-fiction romantic comedy through his social media handle.
Sharing the update, Vignesh wrote, “3rd April! Everyone in cinema says a Friday can change everything! Is this Friday going to be so good!” The Instagram post also featured the film’s song Anakena.

Love Insurance Company is a science-fiction romantic comedy directed by Vignesh Shivan. The film is based in a futuristic version of Chennai in the year 2040, where romance is also programmed through apps and measured using technology. In this world, a man who believes in old-fashioned true love meets Dheeme, a tech-savvy woman.
As their romance becomes a threat to Suriyan, the CEO of the love app, the young man must fight for his love by going up against corporate forces and a technology-driven approach to relationships.
Directed by the Love Today actor, the film stars Kriti Shetty in the lead role. Actors like SJ Suryah, Seeman, Yogi Babu, Gauri G Kishan, Shah Ra and others play lead roles. Additionally, Anirudh Ravichander not only composes the songs and background score but also lends his voice to a robot character.
Initially, LIK was scheduled to release on September 18, 2025. However, due to unknown reasons, the film was skipped that date and was later announced to hit the silver screens on October 17, coinciding with Diwali last year.
During this time, Pradeep Ranganathan And Mamita Baiju’s Dude had finalized the same release date, forcing the makers of LIK to postpone the film to avoid clash with another film starring Pradeep Ranganathan. The film was then rescheduled for release on December 18, 2025.
After multiple postponements, there was no active promotion around the scheduled release date of the film and the release is believed to be in limbo with no official update from the makers till now.
