Loca star Kalyani Priyadarshan leads new Tamil film, shooting begins with Pooja
Kalyani Priyadarshan starts shooting for a new Tamil project with Devdarshini and Vinoth Kishan. Tentatively titled ‘Production 7’, with Thiraviyam SN’s direction and a strong creative team supporting the production, the film went on floors on 19 November.
Kalyani Priyadarshan is back on a Tamil film set, this time heading a new project produced by Potential Studios. The yet-untitled film (currently referred to as Production No. 7) began production today in Chennai with a traditional puja ceremony, marking the official start of filming.
The actor will be seen alongside Devadarshini and Vinoth Kishan in the upcoming project, which also introduces Thiraviyam SN as the director. Thiraviyam has written the screenplay and dialogues with Praveen Bhaskar and Sri Kumar.
The film is backed by producers SR Prakash Babu, SR Prabhu, P Gopinath and Thangaprabharan. R Music will be composed by Justin Prabhakaran.
On the technical front, Gokul Benoy serves as cinematographer, Aral R Thangam takes over as editor, and Mayapandi joins as production designer. Cast and crew members attended today’s ceremony as the team prepared to begin their shooting schedule.
Kalyani’s most recent release, ‘Loka Chapter 1: Chandra’, which hit the theaters in August, generated a positive response from the audience. The actor continues to grow his Tamil film career with a strong lineup, including the upcoming ‘Jinn’ starring Ravi Mohan and Kriti Shetty and Marshall directed by ‘Tanakkaran’ fame Tamizh.
More details regarding the title, release timeline, and additional cast are expected to be announced in the coming months.
