Lilo and Stitch have been one of the most liked films of the year. While the film earned millions at the box office, Disney has announced the OTT release date for cinematic pieces. From July 22, the audience will be able to watch a live-action film in the comfort of their homes.
The film will be available to stream on platforms like Amazon Prime and Apple TV+.
Directed by Dean Fletcher Camp, Disney film collected more than 1 billion USD, which is Mission Impossible of Tom Cruise: The Final Recking in Theaters. The film hit a big screen on 23 May and overshadhed Snow White’s poor performance at the box office for Disney.
What about Lilo and Stitch?
Lilo and Stitch is a remake of an animated film of 2002. The story of the film follows a blue alien, stitch, which crashes on Earth and is adopted by a young girl named Lillo. East is taken care of by Hawaiian natives and her elder sister, grandmother.
As a plot, the official syphsis of the film states, “Stitch, a supernatural unit, the planet comes to Earth, when he survives his gel, where he tries to replicate a dog. Things take a turn when Lilo adopts him with an animal shelter.”
Sharing the insight of the film, in a conversation with the director, the first Disney, revealed, “We tried to customize it in a way that paid the tribute to the original, but did not have a literal translation.”
He further said, “We were very clear about the fact that animation and live action are two completely different means; there are things that you can do in live action that you cannot do in animation, and vice versa.”
Meanwhile, for fans who want to stream Lilo and Stitch on OTT, they can also pre-buy the film and enjoy cinematic pieces on streaming platforms or youtube.
