Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital has announced two major initiatives to enhance healthcare services in the city. One of these initiatives is the Cancer Care Institute, a 300-bed hospital in Mumbai, and the other is a collaboration with Mayo Clinic to launch a nursing excellence program.

Cancer Care Institute

The new cancer care institute will offer tailored treatments based on patient-specific factors, so each patient can receive personalized and effective care.

The center will also introduce diagnostic tools powered by artificial intelligence (AI) for early and accurate detection of cancer, improving patient outcomes and survival rates.

Additionally, the hospital will also launch awareness campaigns to promote a culture of health and wellness, educating communities about the risks, symptoms and preventive measures of cancer.

nursing program

The MoU signed with Mayo Clinic will help enhance the skills and knowledge of our nursing staff through specialized training and development.

The partnership covers a variety of areas including nursing excellence education, nursing quality and patient experience, patient and staff safety, nursing administration and leadership development, onboarding, orientation, and staff development and nurse competency.

Through this partnership, the hospital will provide training through observations, real-time best practice ideas and structured sessions.

Upon completion of the program, nurses will receive a certificate of completion from Mayo Clinic.

“We are thrilled to bring this state-of-the-art cancer care institute to Mumbai and collaborate with Mayo Clinic to enhance the skills of our nursing staff. This initiative reflects our commitment to provide world-class healthcare and improve the lives of people Our patients and community,” said Rajesh and Prashant Mehta, permanent trustees of Lilavati Hospital.
