Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4 may feature the same rear camera as the iPhone 16, as revealed by a fresh report from a Korean supply chain. The fourth-generation iPhone SE is expected to feature a 48-megapixel rear camera and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera, which will bring significant upgrades to Apple’s more budget-friendly device. This new camera setup closely aligns with the iPhone 16’s rear camera, which uses a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens that Apple refers to as a “Fusion” lens, which combines standard and 2x zoom without losing detail. Zoom Photos is capable of handling both.

The report shared by ET News suggests that Korea-based LG Innotek will be the primary supplier for the iPhone SE 4’s camera module. Foxconn and Cowell Electronics are also expected to play a role in providing key camera components. The device, priced at around $400 (approximately Rs 33,950), is speculated to hit the market in the first quarter of next year. However in India, the price of the device is likely to be higher due to customs duties and other things.

Apart from the camera, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to adopt a more modern design, moving from the old LCD screen to a 6.06-inch OLED display similar to the iPhone 14. Rumors also suggest that the new model will replace Touch ID with Face ID, offering a more intuitive, all-screen front design.

Other possible upgrades include the adoption of a USB-C port, 8GB of RAM to support Apple’s advanced AI features, and possibly a new multi-functional action button in place of the traditional mute switch.

One of the most notable aspects of the iPhone SE 4 may be the introduction of an Apple-designed 5G chip, marking a shift away from reliance on Qualcomm for cellular technology. If true, this could offer better integration and performance, as well as potentially lower costs for Apple in the long term.

Apple’s previous iPhone SE model was launched in March 2022, and reports suggest that the new iPhone SE 4 may launch around March 2025. With these rumored improvements, Apple is targeting consumers looking for flagship-level features at a more affordable price point.
