Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer L2: Emperan is one of the most anticipated Malayalam Actioner sequel. After the huge success of its predecessor, Lucifer, all eyes are on the second installment and what will it bring to the table. Recently, rumors have been suggesting a delay in the release of action flicks.
L2: Empuran is about to hit theaters on March 27, 2025. However, the new reports stated that the film has been delayed due to an alleged financial stress on the production house on the projecting house, Lica Productions.
Some reports also stated that Mohanlal’s own blessing cinemas have considered the move to remove connectivity with Laika Productions and release L2: Empuran independently.
But now, amidst all these unconfirmed reports, director Prithviraj Sukumaran, a cryptic post, has so far dropped a cryptic post. Taking X (East Twitter), he dropped a poster of Mohanlal’s character.

However, it was the punch line on the poster that attracted attention. Read this, “In your biggest moment … be careful! When … Satan comes to you!”
In addition, while sharing the post, Prithviraj himself had “captioned as the biggest trick, which Devil had ever pulled … assuring the world that he is not present!”
L2: Coming back to Empuran, the upcoming film was awarded the UA certificate by CBFC on 6 March. After this censoring, the final runtime of Mohanlal starrer came in a period of 2 hours and 59 minutes.
Meanwhile, the plot of the sequel drama is asked to start technically where the first installment was over.
In addition, the film will also navigate the background and increase the power of many of its characters, including Nayak, Stephen Nedampali and Zaid Masood.
