Kubera vs. Cool: Nagarjuna Akini revealed how Lokesh Kanagaraj and Sekhar Kamula are different as the directors

Nagarjuna Akini is eagerly prepared to release his film Kubera, co-contemporary with Dhanush. On June 20, 2025, the experienced actor was asked to reflect the difference between working with Lokesh Kanagarj and Sekhar Kamula.

In his conversation with Galata Plus, the actor highlighted that both are very similar in communication, but hail from various schools of film production.

Nagarjuna said, “Sekhar Kamula is very real, whether it is people’s clothes, hairstyle, or other details. Lokesh, on the other hand, believes in a big life, this is my kind of cinema and I love it.”

“In one example, Sekhar will come to me and say, Nag, you are walking like a hero … calm it down. Nah. He will ask me to bring me a little, even a little hump. However, Lokesh will say, Sir … Sir … walks like a tiger when you walk in a room. I need to scare you a simple,” he said.

Commenting on two different methods of the director to make a film, Nagarjuna highlighted how Kammula wanted his characters to be as real as possible.

On the other hand, Lokesh will make a person larger than life, even with a simple camera angle.

Coming into films, Kubera is a social thriller venture focused on the story of a beggar, which is included in a system of deception manipulated by a chartered accountant. However, when the beggar takes out the CA, there is a fight for their intellect in the rest of the film.

Apart from leading actors, the film has Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, Dilip Tahil and many other major roles.

On the other hand, Coolie is an action entertainer who is in the headlines by Rajinikanth. The much awaited film includes Nagarjuna Akini and Upendra Rao in the lead roles, in which Aamir Khan plays a special cameo appearance.

In the form of Shruti Haasan, Saubin Shahir, Satyaraj, and more sports, the film has been slated to hit a large screen on August 14, 2025. Interestingly, it will make the flick a clash release with Hirithic Roshan, Junior NTR starrer War 2.
