In her decade-long Bollywood career, Kriti Sanon has managed to become one of the most successful actresses of the current times. While Kriti was appreciated for her performances in the female lead roles in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Mimi, she has also been a part of big commercial films like Dilwale and Housefull 4. The actress had two back-to-back blockbusters earlier this year, Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Crew. Kriti, who continues to entertain the audience, recently revealed that she has a joint account with her father Rahul Sanon and also discussed her film choices.

During a new interview with Nikhil Kamath on his YouTube channel, Kriti Sanon spoke about her family background and how she started working out of her own choice.

“I would definitely say I am fortunate. I come from a middle-class family but it’s not like I ever felt the need to work because I had to earn…I have a joint account with my father. I don’t know how much money is coming in and how much is going out,” Kriti said.

The Teri Baton Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya actress also spoke about how she wants peace and validation despite being an outsider in the Hindi film industry. Kriti opened up by saying that she has been a part of a phase of “not knowing what to do”. The Mimi star expressed that she was exploring her film choices by experiencing whether she felt good on the sets or the actress was just “floating”.

Kriti admitted to being a part of big projects for the sake of box office and star cast and said that she likes to maintain a balance between important and non-important roles. The actress shared that most of the times those big projects don’t work out. Without naming the film, Kriti said that she doesn’t feel excited while being on the set.

The Crew actress elaborated that she has grown up making these decisions for herself and has now realised what works for her and what doesn’t. Kriti defined peace as a place where she can choose to do certain things that she wants to do.

Earlier, Pinkvilla exclusively reported that Kriti Sanon was once feeling “frustrated” as she wasn’t getting good opportunities in her career. In our interview, Kriti said that during that phase, the actress was quite restless and felt she had a lot more potential than what she has shown onscreen so far. “I was getting frustrated because I thought I can do this; I know I can do it, but I don’t have it in front of me,” the actress shared.

Kriti Sanon made her debut in 2014 with Heropanti opposite then-newcomer Tiger Shroff. Her other notable films include Luka Chuppi, Raabta, Panipat, Bachchan Pandey, Heropanti 2, Bhediya, Shehzada and more. Kriti was last seen earlier this year in Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. Prior to this, the actress played the lead role opposite Shahid Kapoor in Teri Baton Mein Aisa Ulzha Jiya.
