Kpop demon hunter’s Golden Tops Billboard, Beats BTS ‘Dynamite Run
Netflix’s ‘KPOP Monopo Hunters’ reaches a major milestone as the ‘Golden’ finishes the number 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks, BTS defeats ‘Dynamite’ and breaks a new ground for a film soundtrack.

Netflix’s animated feature ‘KPOP Monster Hunters’ is leaving a banging mark on the global music chart. Its standout track ‘Golden’ conducted by the Fantasy Girl Group Hunter/X has now secured the number one place on Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth consecutive week, which is an achievement confirmed by Billboard on Monday, 8 September.
With this achievement, ‘Golden’ crossed the 2020 smash hit ‘dynamite’ of BTS, which topped for three weeks, and now only ‘Butter’ trails, BTS, which topped for 10 weeks.
The journey of the song at the top is nothing short of meteorite. Debut on a minor number. 81, Golden has consistently climbed the ranks, and now, rule at the top. It only becomes a second ke-pop track to enjoy at least four weeks on the summit of hot 100.
The billboard report ‘Golden’ remains a streaming powerhouse. The song maintained its position on the streaming song chart for the seventh week, jumped from 29 to 24th on Radio Song Tally, and logged in the sale of digital songs in the second week. Between August 29 and September 4, the track was drawn into 34.5 million official sections, 22.1 million radio airplay impression and 9,000 digital downloads in the US alone.
Performed by trio iza, Audrey Nuna and Ri Amy, the characters have made history as Rumi, Meera and Zoe, Hunter/X. Hunter/X has made history as the first female ke-pop lead vocalist at the top of Hot 100. His success is an important milestone for the Korean representation in the Western music chart.
And this is not just ‘Golden’. The ‘KPOP Monopo Hunters’ is re -writing the soundtrack chart record. Three other tracks of the film have come in the hot 100 top 10, ‘Aapi Murti’ at number 4, ‘Soda pop’ at number 5, and ‘How it dood’ at number 9. For the first time in the 67 -year history of Billboard Hot 100, four songs of a single soundtrack have entered the top 10 together.
Meanwhile, American pop star Sabrina Carpenter also made headlines this week. His new single ‘Tiers’ made his number 3 debut, while his earlier chart-topper ‘Manchild’ climbed to fourth place. His latest album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ Bilboard was opened at number 1 on 200 album chart.
