Namrata Shirodkar rejected bold scenes before marriage
It was in 2005 when Namrata Shirodkar left the position from the world of films, as her husband, Mahesh Babu, did not want a working spouse.
However, just before this, in an 2004 interview with Redifff, the former actress talked about why she turned down the proposals of the big film, as they would need to do some bold scenes.
She did not desperate herself and said she came from a very safe background. In his words, “I am not comfortable doing such items. I will not exchange kisses or will not love the screen. I am not desperate. Thank you for the Almighty, I come from a safe background.”
Why Namrata signed fewer projects, which leads to exit from films?
In the same interview, Star Wife opened about why she was consciously choosing less films at that time and she was highly selective about what she wanted to do.
The Namrata explained, “I get many offers, but have refused the most. I am making a conscious effort to ensure that my acting ability in every project is taped. I will prefer to do only one film in a year. If you watch my career graph, you will see that I have never crossed two films in a year. So why?”

Now fast forward, Namrata is happily settled with Mahesh Babu, and the couple is blessed with two children, Gautham and Stara. The Diva maintains an active social media appearance, often shares a glimpse of her life.
While she is no longer associated with the work of the film, Namrata Shirodkar is a part of the business domain, where she serves as a co-founder of AMB theaters with her husband, Mahesh.
