Kim Kardashian’s long legal journey has hit another hurdle. The reality star and entrepreneur revealed that she did not pass the California bar exam in July 2025, but insisted that she would not give up. Kim shared the update with her trademark humor and honesty on social media. She wrote, “Well, I’m not a lawyer yet – I just play a very well-dressed lawyer on TV.” She said, “It’s been six years on this law journey, and by the time I pass the bar, I’m all set. The SKIMS founder, who passed the California First-Year Law Students Examination (popularly called the “Baby Bar”) in her fourth attempt in 2021, has been preparing for the main bar exam ever since. Their latest result marks their first full attempt at the state-level exam – considered one of the toughest in the US, with a passing rate exceeding 50 percent.

Despite the failure, Kim described the experience as inspiring rather than discouraging. “Thank you to everyone who supported and encouraged me along the way. Falling short is not failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing, and that motivates me even more. Let’s keep going!” she wrote.

Kardashian’s interest in law stemmed from her father, the late Robert Kardashian Sr., who famously worked on OJ Simpson’s defense team. Over the years, she has balanced her legal studies with business ventures and her high-profile public life, often using her platform to discuss criminal justice reform.
