Actor-artist Nora Fatehi’s latest track, sir sirReleased as part of the official music project for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The song is included on the official album of the tournament, which brings together artists from different musical backgrounds from around the world, and was co-produced with music producer Sanjay and French singer Vegedream.

The release comes days after organizers confirmed that Nora will perform and sing at the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony at BMO Field in Toronto on June 12. The appearance marks another visit to FIFA for him after performing at a fan event during the Qatar World Cup.

She said she wanted the song to bring together every part of her identity, from her Moroccan roots and Canadian roots to the influence of India and the broader South Asian community on her travels.

Nora also told about the Indian presence behind this project. He added, “What makes this song even more meaningful is the strong Indian representation behind the scenes, from the choreographers and dancers to the styling team, everyone has played a huge role in bringing this vision to life.”

He said it felt surreal to create a song for an event like the FIFA World Cup 2026 and described it as “a full-circle moment where different cultures, sounds and people come together”. He also said that he hoped to “take the wonderful sounds of the East to the world”.

Nora is also part of the extensive Canadian line-up for the tournament that includes Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Aliana, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Sanjoy, Vegedream and William Prince. The USA ceremony line-up includes Anita, Future, Katy Perry, Lisa, Rema and Tyla.
