‘Kill’ box office on day 2: Karan Johar, Raghav Juyal’s film takes lead
Raghav Juyal’s bloody thriller ‘Kill’ saw a rise in its collections on the second day. The film earned Rs 3.15 crore in India.
Raghav Juyal, Lakshya and Tanya Maniktala starrer ‘Kill’ saw a slight jump in its collections on Saturday. The bloody thriller earned Rs 1.90 crore on its second day at the domestic box office.
According to industry tracking site Sakcinlk, ‘Kill’ has grossed a total of Rs 3.15 crore in India. Produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, the film performed better in Mumbai and South Indian cities.
The film’s overall Hindi occupancy rate on Saturday was 19.9 percent, with higher footfalls during night shows.
‘Kill’ is facing a tough competition from Prabhas’ ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ at the domestic box office. Now in its second week also, the film is attracting the audience to the theatres. Apart from Prabhas, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.
Produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga, ‘Kill’ is an adult film with bloody action. It was first screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, where critics praised it as ‘dazzling’ and one of them called it an ‘almost perfect action thriller’.

In an earlier interview with Variety, Karan Johar spoke about the genre of the film and said, “It is the most violent film ever made in India.”
Apart from Raghav, Tanya and Lakshya, the film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi in a lead role.
