had an exclusive conversation with India TodaySanchitha said that he is well aware of the responsibility that comes with being from one of the most recognized families in Kannada cinema, but he does not let that pressure cloud his decisions.

He said, “Pressure? I don’t think I’ve succumbed to that pressure because I know I have a responsibility. As long as I know it, I don’t need to remind people about it.”

The actor revealed that taking pressure too seriously can affect his judgment as an artiste.

He said, “As long as I’m responsible towards the family I come from, everything else is just noise. The moment I succumb to it, it’s going to be really hard for me and my judgment and decisions towards certain projects will get clouded.”

Speaking about nepotism, Sanchit argued that privilege exists in all professions and is not exclusive to cinema. Drawing parallels with business and politics, he said people are often attracted to the careers they grew up with.

Acknowledging that family ties can open doors, Sanchit emphasized that success ultimately depends on a person’s ability to connect with the audience.

He said, “Yes, of course there are privileges, but it is only up to a certain point. My uncle cannot come and act on my behalf. He can bring me in only up to a point. After that, it is all on me.”

The actor also revealed that the final decision rests with the audience, no matter what a person’s background is.

He said, “If the character you play doesn’t meet the audience’s needs, you’re just another person. If people connect with you and what you’re performing, then the rest doesn’t really matter.”

During the interview, Sanchitha also talked about the challenges faced by the Kannada film industry and the limited opportunities available on OTT platforms. He talked about the need to empower writers and shared his admiration for filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.
