Khushboo Patani condemns misogynistic comments amid Praneet Mor controversy: Educated fool
Khushboo Patani criticized comedian Pranit More after an audience member’s comment about hoping for the return of 370 Biryani. The protest escalated when both men apologized and the audience member’s employer terminated his employment.

The controversy surrounding comedian Pranit More’s viral crowdwork clip has got another high-profile critic. Actress Disha Patani’s sister Khushboo Patani has stoked the debate, calling out misogynistic comments made by an audience member during the show and questioning the manner of the comedian’s exchange.
Sharing excerpts from the clip on Instagram, Khushboo criticized the comments and the thinking behind them. Referring to the conversation, he said it appeared that Jangra was suggesting that it would be awkward to ask a woman for sex on the first date after taking her out for biryani. They also pointed to his comments about taking the woman to a secluded park and his reference to physical intimacy.
Questioning the mentality reflected in the conversation, Khushboo said that she is troubled that such comments are coming from young men in their 20s. He also expressed surprise that when the audience was laughing and the discussion continued on the stage, no one intervened.
He said, “This is what 22-23 year old men are saying. Look at the girls, what they want to do. Look at the laughter in the show. I wonder how the comedians didn’t stop this guy from spreading such filth on the show.”

Further in the post, Khushboo criticized the long-standing trend of “valuing” women at different stages of life. He argued that such attitudes start early, continue through dating and relationships and continue after marriage in the form of dowry demands.
He further said, “These educated fools will fix our rates. It starts when we go to school, then to college, then on dates and finally after marriage with dowry.”
She also shared a video of a traditional Nepalese knife, known as Khukuri, and urged women to buy one instead.
Comedian Pranit More issued clarification
As criticism mounted, Morey issued a public statement addressing the controversy. He wrote, “I recently saw criticism regarding a crowdsourced clip. The comments made by viewers do not reflect my views. In retrospect, I should have challenged the comment instead of laughing it off and moving on. That was a lapse in judgment on my part.”
The comedian continued, “I appreciate everyone who respectfully raised their concerns. I sincerely apologize for what happened, and I will take this lesson forward. I am human, and like anyone else, I am constantly learning.”
The controversy also drew a reaction from Jangra’s employer, Starwick Design. On Tuesday, founder Vivek Vishwakarma announced on Instagram that the company had terminated Jangra’s employment, saying the incident had escalated beyond one person’s personal conduct and was now impacting the workplace. He said he has a responsibility to the organization, its employees, its customers and the culture it wants to maintain.
This debate continues to generate discussion online, focusing not only on the original comments, but also on the responsibilities of performers, audiences, and employers when such incidents occur in public spaces.
