The makers of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 have confirmed that the sequel will release on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan this year. It will mark the return of some of the original cast members after two decades with new cast members.

Release date for the much awaited Khosla’s Nest 2 The announcement has been made by the film team. The sequel is set to hit the theaters on August 28, 2026, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.

The announcement was made via the official TSeries Instagram account on Thursday, reigniting excitement among fans of the original 2006 film.

The makers shared the update with a post saying, “After 20 years, Khosla is back.” The message read, “#KhoslaKaGhosla2 in theaters 28th August 2026.”

Production on the film began in January this year, ending years of speculation about the sequel’s timeline and casting.

Cast reunion and new additions

Actor Anupam Kher had earlier increased the anticipation by sharing pictures with the original cast including Ranveer Shorey, Parveen Dabas and Kiran Juneja as well as new member Ravi Kishan. The return of familiar faces has contributed to increased interest in upcoming releases. The project marks an important milestone for Kher, who marked it as his 550th film.

Reflecting on the enduring popularity of the first film, Kher commented, “I wonder what it is that reflects the magic of this film.” The returning actors and creative team suggest that the sequel aims to recapture the emotion and humor that made the original successful.
