Abraham also heads the KC Group, which co-produced the film ‘Aadujeevitham’.

Abraham came to Kuwait in 1976. 22-year-old Kattunilath Geevarghese Abraham was ambitious and knew there were opportunities for him in the Middle East.
He travelled from Niranam in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala to Kuwait. He did a diploma in civil engineering.
His first job was with a construction company called Badha and Musairi and his salary was 60 dinars. Just seven years later, he became a partner at NBTC. He now does small civil construction projects in Kuwait.
The Kuwait War was a turning point in Abraham’s life. When the war began, he was vacationing with his family. A month later, when the war ended, he returned to Kuwait. He invested in the development of the country after the war.
His construction company will expand into oil, gas and other sectors.
Abraham employed more people and the company, which started with 90 employees, grew to 15,000 employees.
His wealth is worth Rs 4,000 crore and he also owns a supermarket chain called Highway Centre in Kuwait.
Homecoming in Kerala: Hotels, donations and fights
In Kerala, Abraham is a partner in Kochi-based five-star property Crowne Plaza.
He also got into a controversy with Public Works Minister TU Kuruvilla when he allegedly tried to sell him 50 acres of barren land. Abraham had already paid Rs 7 crore but refused to be a part of the deal as he felt he was being cheated.
When Kuruvilla refused to return the money, Abraham approached the government and this resulted in the minister’s resignation.
Abraham also criticised the CPM-led Left Democratic Front government when he felt that the 2018 flood relief money collected from migrants was not reaching the people.
He also criticised the government when it said it would impose taxes on vacant houses in 2023. He said he would stop giving money to politicians.
