Keith Urban is proud of Taylor Swift amid her skyrocketing fame. Speaking to The Times, the country singer revealed that he is amazed by Swift’s grace and the way she handles herself when going through hardships in public.
Urban described the public trials as nothing short of a fire from which she came out a little stronger each time. After critics criticized the pop star after her Grammy win in 2010, the country singer claimed, “Just trial by fire over and over again — and always becoming stronger for it.”
In his conversation with the news portal, Urban revealed that he has been friends with the Anti-Hero singer for over a decade. The country singer revealed, “When she opened for us, I saw her perform and I was like, ‘Oh, this girl has eyes way beyond this thing.'” The musician recalled an episode from 2009.
The pair also performed together several times in the year 2014 and 2015. Swift also invited the Let It Roll singer to collaborate with her on We Are Happy (Taylor’s Version) in 2021. Meanwhile, speaking about Swift’s latest album, Tortured Poet’s Departures, Urban shared some nice words for the musician.

Keith claimed, “I mean, gosh, Taylor’s songwriting, it’s just phenomenal. There’s really no adjective for it.” The Australian native added, “She’s a really good writer. So this new album is just further proof of that in really great ways.”
He further praised, saying, “I like singers whose voice you recognise instantly, and there are a lot of other singers who have a voice like hers, but her voice is like nobody else’s.”
Urban attended Swift’s Eras Tour in May 2023 with his wife and film star Nicole Kidman. At the time, Urban told People magazine, “We had the best time.” He further said of the experience, “It’s an amazing show. I knew it would be like this, but it’s a different level. I mean, she’s at the top of her game. This tour is the best.”
Keith Urban has also released his new album High after four years. The tracks are available to stream on music platforms.
