an excerpt from India Today movie review Read, “The film’s queer lens is not accidental. Meera’s parents in India remain unaware of her marriage and her identity, a detail that subtly informs the larger story of concealment, fear, and social pressure. The allegation against Geetika also has a different significance because of who she is – a woman, a queer professional, and someone who doesn’t fit neatly into society’s idea of power and victimhood. While this angle had the potential to be a sharp commentary on #MeToo and the workplace. politics, the film stops before fully exploring its emotional and dramatic possibilities.”
