Katie Holmes is giving the true details of her daughter Suri Cruise’s finances, with the Daily Mail claiming in a recent report that 18-year-old Suri became a millionaire after taking over her father Tom Cruise’s trust fund earlier this year.
The outlet also cited a source as saying that Suri has additional trust funds from her mother.
“Completely false,” Holmes wrote on a screenshot of the article. “Daily Mail, you can stop making things up.”
“Enough,” she added in the caption.

Holmes has always been clear about her desire to protect her daughter from false and negative media coverage. In April 2023, the Dawson’s Creek alum said in an interview with Glamor that she hoped to keep her daughter away from the spotlight, noting that she was in the media as a child due to her famous parents. In June this year, Suri and her mother were seen celebrating her graduation from high school. The pair were seen posing together and hugging, while Suri wore a red cap and gown over a white dress.
The teenager, on the other hand, has not been seen with her father for years, as she is said to have been estranged from him. Also at her school’s graduation ceremony, Top Gun: Maverick’s only biological child went to Suri Noelle instead of Suri Cruise.
Holmes and Cruise welcomed Suri in 2006. After almost six years of marriage, the couple separated in 2012.
Last year, Holmes made his directorial debut with Rare Objects. The proud mother dedicated the film to her daughter, who was also featured on the film’s soundtrack, as she had previously done in the Holmes film Alone Together.
Speaking to Glamor about including Suri in her work, Holmes said she hopes her daughter will always have something on her projects, noting that she always asks her to be involved. She explained that this was because, in showbiz, people who work together become family anyway, so she preferred to have an actual family member work with her.
