Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan’s parents, Randhir Kapoor and Babita have decided to join again at a different age for decades. He described the reunion as an important family moment for her and her sister Karishma. The actor’s parents never divorced despite being separated, maintained mutual respect.
In a recent interview with Mojo StoryKareena opened her parents’ decision to reunion. “Everyone’s parents are the best parents in the world. And my parents are the best parents in the world. Now, they have decided to spend their old age holding hands together because it is the place where their journey started, and exactly where they are together,” she said.
‘Jab Hum Mile’ actor saw it as a divine intervention in his family trip. He said, “This is something that has come in the full cycle for Karishma and me. It is like a divine type of intervention. Personally, I think they are both amazing because my father has always supported what my father always wanted to do in his life. He was very helpful.”
Kareena then talked about her mother’s influence in her life and said, “When Karishma joined films, she was the only camphor girl who started traveling in films technically. It was our mother, Babita, who played the role of a primary mother -father and whatever she could, she performed her best for what she could do.”
Randhir Kapoor and Babita have a relationship in the film industry in their early days. The couple first met working on films like ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kaal’ and later fell in love. However, differences over career options removed Babita from acting after her marriage. This decision marked the onset of challenges in their relationship.
In 1988, Babita decided to separate from Randhir and went out with her daughters, Kareena and Karisma. Despite their separation, the couple never filed for divorce. They were often seen together in family programs, which had maintained a cordial relationship over the years.
