Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses of Bollywood. The versatile artiste has played a variety of roles in his career spanning 25 years; Be it Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’s Poo, Chameli’s Chameli, Omkara’s Dolly or Jab We Met’s song. Kareena’s Veere Di Wedding co-star Sumeet Vyas recently pointed out the qualities in her that don’t go unnoticed, including her discipline on the sets. Sumeet also recalled the actress’ dance shoot after giving birth to her son, Taimur Ali Khan.
During a new podcast interview with Digital Commentary, Sumeet Vyas shared his experience of working with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding. Sumeet shared that he is grateful to be a part of Rhea Kapoor’s production venture. Calling Kareena a “huge star”, the actor expressed that he felt “shocked” when paired with her in the film.
Sumeet started by saying that he grew up watching big stars and when he got the chance to work with them, he realized that they are quite disciplined. The Permanent Roommates actor further said that those stars are very hardworking and confident about their craft.
“Kareena Kapoor was a very big star of our time, she had done so many films, still I used to watch her, she was the patient on the set. I never saw her getting worried, ‘Why is my shot not happening, I am waiting’ ‘, Aisa bhi nahin, chup chup beti rehti thi (She was a big star when I worked with her. She acted in many films and yet she would wait patiently for her scenes on the set. I never saw her. Didn’t even see her getting impatient about the shots), she said.
Sumeet said that whenever Bebo was called for her scenes on the sets, she was well prepared for her acting.
The Veere Di Wedding actor then revealed how Kareena Kapoor shot a dance sequence after giving birth to her elder son, Taimur Ali Khan. Sumeet recalled that Kareena was in Bombay and the team was once rehearsing for a song from the 2018 film. The actor elaborated that he didn’t know how Bebo found time for rehearsals and came straight to the sets.
Sumeet praised his co-star Kareena, saying that she performed better than others practicing for the track.
The 2018 film also starred Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
