While many want to see Kareena Kapoor Khan in a Hollywood project, the actress has always maintained that she doesn’t need to do so as she is content with her current body of work. In a recent interview, the Buckingham Murders star shared her thoughts on overseas opportunities, saying, “I have achieved everything that I set out to and I never had any burning ambitions of moving to Hollywood or acting in English language films.”

The Jab We Met actress told Harper’s Bazaar that she is content with her life and career, adding that she has achieved everything she set out to do. Khan said she is happy that her work is being appreciated globally and reiterated that she never had any burning desire to move to Hollywood or act in English language films.

“My ambitions are about meaningful work and staying true to myself. I’m ambitious, but I’m also focused on what I have and where I am,” he said.

The Chameli actress, who is known for her fashion sense, said she prefers being recognised for her work rather than just her looks. Stating that she never actively pursued that aspect of life, she added that her perspective has changed in the past decade, and she now feels happier and more comfortable in her current space.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will next be seen in Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders. The thriller is set to release in theatres on September 13, 2024. Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan are the producers. The screenplay is written by Aseem Arora, Raghav Raj Kakkar and Kashyap Kapoor. Apart from Kareena, the film stars Ash Tandon, Keith Allen, Ranveer Brar and others.

According to reports, The Buckingham Murders will be released in two formats. To maintain authenticity, the film will be presented in its original English version, while a Hindi dubbed option is available for Indian audiences. Since the story takes place in Buckingham, England, the local characters speak English in the original Hinglish version, while the characters of Indian origin speak Hindi with an accent.

Khan also has Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again in the pipeline. The star-studded film will release on November 1, 2024.
