1. If you have two kids, buy two of everything to help them get along with each other
In an old interview with The Indian Express, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared, “A trick with two boys is to buy two of everything.” She revealed that she always tells her husband Saif Ali Khan to buy two things wherever he is.
2. Balancing parenting and work
Kareena once told Vogue India that she and Saif have made a pact. He revealed that they had decided that when one of them would be busy shooting a film, the other would try not to work on any film during that time.
3. Quality over quantity of time with children
Speaking to Variety in 2023, the actress shared that she learned that the quality of time without any distractions is more important than the quantity of time spent with the kids. “Because kids want focus from their parents, from their teachers, from their friends, that’s what they need,” he said.
Saif Ali Khan also shared similar views in a recent interview at India Today Conclave. He said that the key for him is to spend quality time with each of his children, so he prefers to spend time with them individually rather than just in a group.
4. Teach your children by doing it yourself first
During a conversation for the Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival, Bebo talked about regulating Taimur and Jeh’s screen time. He said that in order to put him to sleep, he and Saif read instead of watching TV. Kareena added, “Because I think they learn by example – there’s no other way.” He told that if children see their parents on the phone or screen, they will also want to do the same.
5. Inculcating good habits by setting an example
Speaking at an event earlier this year, Kareena said that children adopt habits by seeing how their parents talk to each other. She said, ‘Saif always tells me that we talk to each other lovingly and hence our children will talk lovingly to each other and others.’ Bebo said that she tried to instill respect in her children in this way.
