In an interview recently, his wife Kareena Kapoor first opened up the emotional and challenging period, which he had passed since the attack.
In a conversation with Barkha Dutt Mojo StoryKapoor referred to her husband Saif as an ‘Iron Man’ for her sons, Taimur and Jeh. She admitted that she was still thinking about thinking about being someone in her child’s room.
The actor said that such incidents in Mumbai are rare and he admitted that he had not come completely what happened.
“When you lose someone, you actually overcome it anytime. I do not want to stay in that fear for my children because it is wrong to overcome that stress on them. So it has been a difficult journey to maneuver with fear and anxiety that I am a mother and I am also a wife,” he said.
Adding, the actor said, “I still struggle with what I do to see someone in my child’s room. In Mumbai, you really never listen to such incidents, I was very worried for the first few months. It was very difficult to go back to gold and that kind of person.”

Finally, Kapoor shared that the incident served as a clear reflection of the rigorous realities of the world for his children. They have seen blood and everything, but that trauma, I feel somehow, will make Taimur and Jeh much more than a different man. They have also been very shelter, and then, they have suddenly seen it. Somehow, I think this is an experience that brought them out of that shelter and is a little more in reality that it can actually happen. Of course, they should not have seen it. Saif was attacked on 16 January, when an intruder entered Khan’s 12th floor Bandra flat and repeatedly stabbed him. The 54 -year -old actor underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital to remove a piece of knife near his spine. He was discharged five days later. Shahzad was arrested two days after the attack.
