Actor Hrithik Roshan, who was just 17 when he assisted his father in the making of Karan Arjun, narrated his experience. He also praised Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan for learning a lot about acting in those early days.
Actor Hrithik Roshan, who assisted his father Rakesh Roshan during the making of Karan Arjun, recalled his time spent on the sets. He shared some interesting anecdotes in a special post regarding the re-release of the Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan starrer. In the long note, Hrithik mentioned his 17th birthday along with some unseen pictures clicked with Salman and Shahrukh during the shoot.
He titled his nostalgic post as ‘The Karan Arjun Experience’. The actor, who turns 50 today, revealed how he was emotional as a new boy on the film sets and wanted to help his father in every possible way. Hrithik also mentioned learning a lot from young Shahrukh and Salman. He further shared an incident when he ran over the actors’ car to stop them from going to Delhi in the middle of the shoot.
Hrithik first mentioned his iconic character in War and wrote, “Yes, I look like a young Kabir with Karan and Arjun.” He then wrote, “As an assistant, I remember Minerva was the main theater on the day of release. I and dad’s other assistant, Anurag (second pic in white sweatshirt) screened the print before the release and we all Were incredibly disappointed.” The print looked dark and faded. We washed the entire screen and as the dirt and grime dissolved in the large washcloth, we heard the manager say “àäÆàäœ.” àåçàåë àä¸àä¾àä²àå‹àä‚ àä•àå‡ àä¬àä¾àäæ àäïàä¹ àä¸àå àä•àå àä°àå€àäè àäçàå àä²àå€ àä¹àåˆ (After 24 years this screen has been washed) (sic).”
The popular Bollywood actor revealed how Salman and Shahrukh had to report to the set at 6 am and despite this, they decided to take a road trip from Sariska to Delhi the evening before.
“Another fun fact, during the Bhangra Paale song, one late night, a fun team of Shahrukh and Salman decided to leave Sariska by car and go to Delhi, promising to be back by morning. I was shocked and jumped ( Literally, I had to close the bonnet of the car to stop them. The call time was 6 in the morning and I had to make sure that my dad’s day was not spoiled,” he said.
Hrithik praised both the superstars for being his acting coaches during that time. “Watching Salman and Shahrukh act at the age of 17 was a huge learning curve for me. Best practical acting school on set ever,” he concluded the post.
