Rish Shetty starrer Kantara: Chapter 1 has been slated to release on October 2, 2025. Despite being a confirmation date, several rumors of the film were postponed at a later date.
However, the film’s makers have now cleared the air about the same and again confirmed that it will kill the big screen on the said date. Taking his official social media handle, the manufacturers posted a post with a trendy new video.
Sharing the same, the post was captioned, “No doubt. No delay. The veteran saga, #kantarachapter1 comes out on October 2, 2025.”

Kanta: Chapter 1 is a period fantasy action flick which is the prequel of the 2022 Kanta. The upcoming film is set during the reign of Kadambus of Banwasi, in which the screenplay is detected by Rishabh Shetty, which also directed the project.
The film is being banquet by Sala Makers Homebell Films and is being made extensively. Apparently, the film is once again in the lead role in the film, and will play the role of a Naga Sadhu with supernatural powers.
While the rest of the artists are yet to be confirmed, B. in the much awaited movie venture. Ajnesh Lokeath has to handle music tracks and scores. Arvind S. in the film. Kashyap is in the form of a cinematographer.
Kantara: Chapter 1 will be originally released in Kannada and will be dubbed in many languages like Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, English and Malayalam. The film’s post-theater streaming rights have been purchased by Amazon Prime Video.
As Kantara (2022) discovered the folk song of Panjuri Deva, prequel is likely to find out its roots and mythology.
Coming to the front of Rishab Shetty’s work, the actor prepared the next film of director Prasanth Verma’s next film Jai Hanuman. The sequel film which will be inside the Prasanth Verma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).
The upcoming film will feature Rishab in the form of Lord Hanuman of Hindu mythology and will find out the events that were launched in Teja Sajjja starrer Hanuman.
