Kannada actor Rachita Ram joins Chiranjeevi’s Mega 158, shooting begins

Rachita Ram has reportedly joined Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Mega158 and has begun shooting in Pollachi, marking her return to Telugu cinema while balancing a series of projects in Kannada and other South Indian industries.

Kannada actor Rachita Ram has reportedly signed her next Telugu project and is all set to star in megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film, tentatively titled mega158. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film is currently being shot in Pollachi, where Rachita has already joined the team and is filming with Chiranjeevi, Priyamani and Anaswara Rajan.

The project marks an important step in Rachita’s career as she continues to expand her presence in South Indian cinema. This development comes amid reports that actor Honey Rose has left the film and Rachita has been roped in to replace him. Although the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the casting, sources reveal that the actor has started shooting for his portion.

mega158 This will also be Rachita’s first collaboration with producer Venkat K Narayan, who is backing the film under the KVN Productions banner. The production house is making its Telugu debut with this project and has previously backed films across multiple industries including Yash’s upcoming Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults.

For director Bobby Kolli, the film marks a reunion with Chiranjeevi after commercial success voltair veeraya. The screenplay is written by Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy Reddy, with Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri as additional screenwriters. The dialogues of the film are being written by the duo Bhanu-Nandu. The technical crew includes composer S Thaman, cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan, production designer Avinash Kolla and editor Antony L Ruben.
