Actress and MP Kangana Ranaut believes that ‘Monday blues’ is a Western concept. She shared her views on Monday memes in her latest Instagram story. She said that since India is a developing country, its people should not complain about work. The actress also stressed that the “obsessive work culture” should be normalised.

Sharing a video of PM Narendra Modi, in which he talks about making India a developed country by 2047, Kangana wrote on Instagram, “We need to normalise the obsessive work culture and stop waiting for the weekend and complaining about Monday memes.”

He further added, “This is all an attempt at Western brainwashing; we are not yet a developed nation, and we cannot afford to be bored and lazy at all.”

Kangana Ranaut on Monday expressed her views on memes.

Kangana Ranaut has become only the fourth woman to be elected to the Lok Sabha from Himachal Pradesh, and the first who is not from a former royal family. She defeated her Congress rival, Rampur princely descendant and current state Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency by a margin of 74,755 votes.

In one of her interviews during the election campaign, Kangana was asked if she would quit Bollywood if she won the Mandi seat. To this Kangana replied in the affirmative and told Aaj Tak, “The film world is a lie, everything is fake there. They create a very different atmosphere. It is a glitzy world like a fake bubble to attract the audience. That is the reality.”

Meanwhile, Kangana’s much-awaited film ‘Emergency’ is yet to release. The film faced multiple delays due to pending production work and clash of release dates. Kangana, who is also directing and producing the film, is yet to announce the new release date of the film.
