Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has said that she feels deeply troubled after reading the recently released Epstein files, questioning the involvement of public figures and expressing concerns about the moral compass of society.

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has reacted strongly to the release of the Epstein files, calling the revelations “disturbing” and raising concerns over what they show about humanity. Documents released by the United States Department of Justice include thousands of pages of emails, flight logs and handwritten notes linked to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, sparking widespread global debate.
On February 3, Kangana shared her views on Instagram Stories, adding her voice to the growing conversation around the controversial files. Officials have urged caution when interpreting the documents, warning that some claims within the material may be “false and sensationalist”. However, the release has reignited discussions about the alleged involvement of influential public figures and systemic accountability.
Responding to the reports, Kangana described the details emerging from the files as extremely disturbing. He wrote, “It is very disturbing to watch and read about the Epstein files. Crimes happen everywhere but what they are doing seems like some high society fashion/cultural practice, it seems like some evil/satanic demonic religion.”

The actor also questioned how key figures allegedly linked to the scam managed to maintain their public reputations. He wrote, “All these rockstars, singers, movie stars, politicians, models, movie directors that we grew up reading about, how they were all harming and killing helpless young women and really little children.”
Kangana reflected on the emotional impact of the reports on her, expressing concern about the future. He said the revelations made him feel “extremely sad and hopelessly pessimistic about the future and the true essence of humanity”. The actress also linked the controversy to cultural and philosophical beliefs, saying that she believed Indian values and Sanatana principles provide a moral foundation in turbulent times.
Drawing parallels with mythological narratives, Kangana said that ancient stories about the battle between good and evil remain relevant in modern society. He ended his message by asking people to consider their moral stance and ended his note with the hashtag #HareKrishna.
