India’s Paralympic Committee (PCI) has announced that actor and politician Kangana Ranaut has been appointed as a brand ambassador for the New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championship.
According to an official statement by PCI, the Kangana Association is expected to focus fresh energy, visibility and focus on para-athletics in India. In his new role, she will represent and promote the main values of the championship – flexibility, inclusion and excellence, reported ANI,
Expressing her gratitude, Kangana shared a video from the ceremony. Sharing his views, he said, “India’s para -athletes are being defined again what is possible every day. I am deeply respected for supporting them and help to raise awareness about their extraordinary achievements. Para Sport is not only about competition – it is about courage, and I am proud of our champions.”

PCI President and two -time paralympic gold medalist Devendra Jhajhariya welcomed the announcement, saying, “We are thrilled to Kangana. His passion, influence and commitment to India’s athletes make him an ideal ambassador for this global program.”
New Delhi 2025 World Para Athletics Championship will be held from 27 September to 5 October at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, and is set to host more than 1,000 athletes from more than 100 countries. It will mark the 12th edition of the prestigious competition and is ready to be India’s largest para-sporting event till date.
With this landmark event, PCI aims to bring para-spores in every Indian house, school and heart.
