Actor-director and Kamal Haasan’s elder brother Charu Haasan has been admitted to hospital after he collapsed just ahead of Diwali. This was confirmed by the actor’s daughter Suhasini Mani Ratnam, who shared an update on his health through an Instagram post.
In the heartfelt post, the actress shared a few pictures with her father and a video from his hospital bed, where we could see them spending a few moments together. Along with the post, the actress also wrote, “We fell at midnight before Diwali. Our Diwali was in emergency. But we are all ready for the surgery.
Apart from this, actors R Madhavan and Khushboo Sundar also commented on the post and wished her good health. While Maddie wrote, “He is such a warrior.. will be back home and back to normal in no time,” Khushboo wrote, “He is the strongest man I have ever seen. Their positive vibes are extremely contagious. He will be back soon and healthy.”

In the video, the actor tells Suhasini how he is ready for the surgery and asks him to tell his wife, “I am fine. I will come back and see you. I’ll be fine.” The 93-year-old veteran filmmaker was earlier hospitalized in August due to age-related ailments.
Moving on, Charuhasan was last seen in the film titled Hara. The action thriller flick starring Mike Mohan was directed by Vijay Sri G, marking his return to mainstream cinema after a gap of 16 years. Actress Anumol was in the lead role in this film, which was released in June this year. However the film received negative response from the audience and is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Charuhasan last played the lead role in the 2019 film Dha Dha 87. Directed by Vijay Shree G, the film was a romantic drama which was a spiritual successor to the Kamal Haasan starrer Satya. Interestingly, the film also featured actress Keerthy Suresh’s grandmother Saroja in the lead role.
