Kalki Kochlin never away from speaking his truth. Recently, she reflected on her previous relationships, especially with actor-Filmekar Anurag Kashyap. She opened about the emotional item carrying in adulthood – one that began to take shape when she was just 13 years old.
Recently in conversation ZoomThe acclaimed actor recalled the painful effect of his parents’ isolation, and shared, “When I was 13 years old, my parents were divorced, and it was really bad. They were really bad for each other. It was cold for each other. It was cold and growing between them -it was very difficult. Perhaps that’s why I am divorced.”
The actor was married to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in 2011 after his cooperation on ‘Dev D’ in 2011. They participated in the methods after four years, and when the partition was not easy, Kalki now sees it with clarity.
He said, “There is a certain part of you that once endangers relationships, when they deteriorate,” he said, suggesting how early trauma can resonate in adult mobility. After the early years of divorce, he accepted, was far away from easy. “It was sad to see the other person with someone else. Finally, we realized that we needed to stay out of each other’s life.”
Time and distance, however, brought perspective and treatment. “It takes a few years. But the distance helped,” he reflected.
Today, both share a cordial relationship. Kalki also participated in the celebration of Kashyap’s daughter, Aliah’s wedding last year. “Now we are in a good place and can hold it once at once,” he said, quietly confirming that bandh, while complex, possible.
Meanwhile, Kalki has been in a committed relationship with Gai Harshberg for some time. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Sappo in 2020.
On the work front, Kalki Kochlin was last seen in the Tamil romantic action drama ‘Nasipaya’, directed by Vishnuvan. Subsequently, she acts in the English -language film ‘Emma Aur Angel’, further strengthening her reputation to choose bold and unconventional roles.
