Kalki 2898 recorded a spectacular third day at the box office, marking its second day of earning Rs 100 crore worldwide. The film grossed approximately Rs 75 crore in India and Rs 26 crore (USD 3.10 million) from overseas, taking its worldwide gross to Rs 101 crore. The total gross in three days stood at Rs 350 crore, with domestic and overseas earnings being Rs 240 crore and Rs 110 crore (USD 13.20 million). The four-day extended weekend is estimated to gross Rs 450 crore worldwide.

In India, the Prabhas starrer witnessed a growth of 17 per cent on Saturday as compared to Friday, and grossed Rs 75 crore. The film probably lost Rs 4-5 crore due to the T20 World Cup final match, which slowed down collections in the evening, especially in North India. However, the film is expected to cover the lost ground with a higher than usual growth today.

Below is the box office collection of Kalki 2898 AD at the Indian box office:

Day Total
Thursday Rs. 101.00 Crore.
Friday Rs. 64.00 Crore.
Saturday Rs. 75.00 Crore.
Total Rs. 240.00 Crore.

North India has become the biggest contributor to Kalki’s daily collections, it earned around Rs 30 crore yesterday, ahead of the Rs 28 crore in Telugu states. It is expected that as this lead continues, North India will eventually surpass the total collections in Telugu states as well.

Other states in the South also saw a rise in collections on Saturday, with Tamil Nadu and Kerala surpassing the opening day figures. Both these states were the weak links for Prabhas’ previous films since Baahubali 2, so scoring well from them is an added advantage.
