Directed by Chetan DK and written and produced by Sagar B Shinde, The India Story It is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026 and will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

The teaser shows Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade facing the reality of pesticide farming. It points out the health risks associated with toxins entering the everyday food of the younger generation, and places this issue at the center of the film’s story. The teaser has also been shared online:

Talking about the film, director Chetan DK said, “The India Story Not just a movie; This is a conversation we need to have as a society. Through this story, we wanted to highlight the worrying reality of pesticide farming and the silent health crisis it creates. The teaser is just a glimpse of a much bigger issue that affects millions of families every day. Our aim is to create awareness, provoke thought and encourage audiences to question what goes on their plate.”

Shreyas Talpade said, “What attracted me was The India Story Its topic had relevance. Pesticide farming is an issue that affects every household, yet we rarely think about its long-term consequences. Through my character’s journey, I hope the audience will connect with the emotional struggle of an ordinary parent who is fighting against a system much bigger than themselves. It’s a story that entertains, but more importantly, it starts an important conversation.

The project is backed by co-producers Swati Vinayak Sendane, Anita Jadhav, Vinayak Sendane, Kalpesh Shah, Devyani Khorate and Prem Joshi. The technical team includes cinematographer Nishant Bhagwat, music composer Mangesh Dhakade, editor Ashish Mhatre, lyricist Shakeel Azmi and sound designer Anmol Bhave.
