Dhanush recently shared the first and second look of his upcoming film Kaara on his social media handle. Directed by Vignesh Raja, the film is an emotionally based action thriller that will release in summer 2026.
The makers have now officially unveiled the title reveal video of the film, offering an introductory glimpse of Dhanush’s character Karasami.

In the 1 minute and 22 second title glimpse, Dhanush’s character is portrayed as a man who clashes with the wrong people because of his profession. As he finds himself being hunted, he realizes that the only way out is to become human and face the consequences of his past actions.
Torn between sin and virtue, he must save his family against all odds, engaging in a one-man battle before he loses everything. Blending intense action with intense, thrilling moments, the glimpse finally reveals her character as Karasami, also known as Kara.

Written and directed by Por Thozhil fame Vignesh Raja, the film stars Mameetha Baiju in the lead female role, who is reportedly playing the hero’s wife. The introductory glimpse shows him in a never-before-seen avatar, though his face is not revealed.
Additionally, the film stars KS Ravikumar, Karunas, Jayaram, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, MS Baskar, Sreeja Ravi and many others in lead roles.
The film, bankrolled by Wales Film International, is set to hit theaters this summer. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the songs and background score, Theni Easwar is handling the cinematography, and Srijit Sarang is serving as the editor.

Dhanush was last seen in the lead role in the Hindi language film Tere Ishq Mein. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film tells the story of a man named Shankar, who develops a relationship with Mukti while she is doing her PhD research on Mukti.
After Mukti ends their relationship, Shankar loses his temper and creates chaos before leaving his old life behind. Years later, when they meet again their unresolved past resurfaces and the film tells what happens to them next.
Looking ahead, Dhanush will next be seen in the tentatively titled D55, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy and produced by the actor himself.
