Justin Baldoni claims that Gina Rodriguez stood by him as a pillar amid the controversies that ended with us; calls it ‘family’

It End’s With Us was one of the most anticipated films of the season. While it was successful in attracting audiences to the theatres, it also drew the audience’s attention to the controversies and differences surrounding the film.

The film’s actor-director Justin Baldoni, who reportedly had differing opinions from the film’s lead role Blake Lively, claimed that Gina Rodriguez stood by him during difficult times.

The Jane the Virgin star referred to Baldoni as her brother in an old interview with People Magazine. She revealed that the director was someone from the industry with whom she mostly remained in touch.

Meanwhile, in the latest conversation between Baldoni and the media outlet, the filmmaker said that Rodriguez was one of the people in his circle who came forward for him in difficult times.

“She really came through for me,” the actor shared. She added, “He was really sweet.” “He was really sweet. She’s a sweetheart. She’s family forever,” Baldoni said of his sister.

Prominent among the controversies surrounding the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel were Lively and the director facing creative differences, and Ryan Reynolds’ alleged involvement in the film.

As for Rodriguez and Baldoni, the two starred together as love interests in Jane the Virgin. Talking about the chemistry between the two, the Five Feet Apart director claimed that he would definitely like to work with the actress again.

He said, “I would love to work with her. She’s so talented.” Baldoni added, “I hope it’s a movie she directs. She’s a fantastic director, so I would love to star in a movie she directs.”

When the actor was asked about a mini-reunion of Jane the Virgin, he gave people hope by revealing that the cast will definitely come together for a reunion at some point in the future.
