A 12 -year -old boy from Memphis, US recently received an unexpected journey from the FBI after successfully constructing the nuclear fusion reactor in his bedroom. Mr. Jackson shared his remarkable journey on X, revealing how he became firm to prove himself and achieved an impressive achievement before the age of 13. His inspiration came from Taylor Wilson’s Ted Talk, where Mr. Wilson described the attainment of controlled nuclear fusion at the age of 14 in 2008.
Mr. Oswalt launched its nuclear fusion journey by delaying the underlying science. He built a “demo fuser”, an initial step towards creating a functional fusion reactor. To fund this project, he trusted financial assistance from his parents. However, he admitted that the demo fuuser was still completely away from the operating nuclear fusion reactor.
“But it was far away from a working fusion reactor. If I run this setup for more than a few minutes, the” grid “at the center would melt and destroy itself. Had to work clearly. I rebuilt the vacuum chamber, got a turbomolecular pump from eBay, got a turbomolecular pump, some deuterium (some legal form) for fuel and wrote a tannut.

Mr. Oswalt revealed that he had sours of most parts from eBay to his reactor. After dedicating a year to the manufacture of complex equipment, he finally achieved success. He wrote, “A few days before my 13th birthday after a few days of tense tests, I successfully acquired fusion and detected these neutrons as evidence!”
Jackson’s remarkable achievement quickly attracted attention, leading to a Guinness World Record as the youngest person to receive nuclear fusion. His achievement was also verified by Fusor.net and famous fusion expert Richard Hull.
Following the attention of comprehensive media, FBI agents visited Jackson’s house to inspect for radiation. After a thorough investigation and finding no radiation, the agents allowed Jackson to continue their scientific experiments without any restrictions.
“I found a Guinness World Record to be the youngest person to get a fusion and attracted the media’s attention.
