Juhi Parmar is emotional and grateful as ‘Kumkum’ completes 22 years
TV actress Juhi Parmar celebrated 22 years of the popular family drama ‘Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan’ on July 10. She shared a special video in which she recreated her look from the show.

Popular television show ‘Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan’ is celebrating a milestone this month. This family drama which started 22 years ago remains a memorable part of television history. To mark this special occasion, actress Juhi Parmar, who won hearts with the character of Kumkum, has shared a video on Instagram with a heart-warming message.
Juhi has also shared a video along with a long note in which she has recreated her look as Kumkum. The video also features the title track of the daily soap.

Reminiscing about the show, Juhi wrote, “It’s been 22 years and it feels like just yesterday! Kumkum is a name that has become synonymous with Juhi. Even today, when I walk on the streets, many of you call me Kumkum. This song still gives me goosebumps as it brings back so many memories, memories of 7 years of shooting, of amazing visuals and the friendship between all of us.”
She further added, “And I am getting emotional writing this because I can’t imagine what life would have been like if there was no Kumkum. I am so grateful to this show that has given me so much love from all of you, it’s truly priceless!”
“And so begins a week of celebrations for Kumkum as we complete 22 years on July 15th and we will come together and share the love for Kumkum because this journey wouldn’t have been possible without you! Thank you,” Juhi added.
‘Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan’ revolves around Kumkum, a dutiful daughter-in-law whose world turns upside down when her husband Jatin (Anuj Saxena) dies of a brain tumour. To save Kumkum from social stigma, her brother-in-law Sumit (Hussain) marries her and later they fall in love.
‘Kumkum’ premiered on Star Plus on July 15, 2002 and ran successfully for seven years. Apart from Juhi, Hussain Kuwajerwala and Anuj Saxena, the show also featured Alka Kaushal, Arun Bali, Malini Kapoor and Shishir Sharma.
