Jonathan Bailey brought warmth, reflection and a touch of musical magic to ‘Sesame Street’ during a recent guest appearance to promote his upcoming film ‘Wicked: For Good’. the actor named of people ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’ Engaged in a gentle, thoughtful exchange with Elmo, capturing the sentiment of taking time for oneself that he emphasized in a quiet, sunny park-bench moment.
In the clip, Bailey sits bathed in autumn light and opens up about the importance of slowing down. He told Elmo, “Sometimes I do nothing, and sometimes I just sit and listen to the leaves.” He continued to share what is the reason for his happiness. “And then I think about all the things that make me smile, like my family and friends. Friends like you. And I’ll think about and appreciate all the things that I’ve had this year,” he said.
Their conversation turned to hope and new adventures ahead. “And maybe there are some adventures and moments that we have yet to experience,” Bailey said, before the pair decided to grab hot chocolate together. She ended this heartfelt moment with a gentle reminder to the audience: “Remember, give yourself a moment. A moment for whatever you need.”
In another playful segment, Bailey joins Bert and Ernie for a lively dance party, showing off ‘Wicked’ inspired moves. “We’ve been dancing our whole lives, Burt,” he said, referring to one of his signature numbers from “Wicked: For Good,” which will be released in theaters Nov. 21. The energetic trio transformed the dance sequence into a celebration of happiness, friendship and music.
Bailey’s appearance on the beloved children’s show comes as he prepares for the release of ‘Wicked: For Good,’ the 2024 sequel to ‘Wicked’ and adapted from the 2003 stage musical. The fantasy film stars returning cast members Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Bowen Yang, Marisa Bode, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum, along with Colman Domingo.
The actor also recently shared that he plans to take a short break from acting to focus on running his charity, The Shameless Fund, though he clarified that he won’t be stepping away from acting for an entire year.
