Bollywood star Ayesha Jhulka is entering Celebrity MasterChef as a wildcard contestant, marking her first major television role. The new season promises an exciting lineup with Farah Khan hosting and the return of familiar judges.
Bollywood actress Ayesha Jhulka is all set to join Celebrity MasterChef as a wildcard contestant. The ’90s star today began filming for the Pakistan-based reality show, which is her first full-length television project.
A source close to the reality show told India Today Digital that the actor was approached to join the show from the very beginning, but things did not work out.
“Ayesha was quite keen to take up the show, and when the producers were discussing the possibility of a new face coming in, they approached her again. This time, the deal was finalized faster and they started shooting immediately. The season is going well and Ayesha’s addition will add a new dimension to the show.”
Ayesha, known for her roles in films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Khiladi, Socha Na Tha and Umrao Jaan, also ventured into digital platforms with Hush Hush in 2022 and Happy Family: Conditions Apply in 2023.
The new season of Celebrity MasterChef has a star-studded lineup, including Deepika Kakkar, Gaurav Khanna, Nikki Tamboli, Faisal Shaikh and Tejasswi Prakash, and has Farah Khan as the host.
Judges Chef Vikas Khanna and Chef Ranveer Brar are returning to the show, which will premiere soon on Sony TV.
