JLO has tears in her eyes, condemns Trump’s rally "disgrace to humanity"

Jennifer Lopez joined Kamala Harris in Nevada and gave a passionate speech. “It wasn’t just Puerto Ricans who were angry,” López said. “(It was) anyone with humanity and decent character.

“I’m Puerto Rican and yes, I was born here and we’re Americans,” she announced.

The singer’s powerful words came after Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, where comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made disparaging remarks about Puerto Rico, calling it a “floating island of garbage.” Her speech highlighted her pride in her Puerto Rican heritage and her belief in the power of women.

He said Trump at Madison Square Garden reminded him of who he really is.

Speaking on behalf of women, she also said, “Women have the power to make a change in this election,” and that she believes in the power of women. This was a reference to Trump’s comments about women’s safety, “whether women like it or not”. Lopez said Trump failed to recognize “women’s freedom or women’s intelligence” in making decisions about their lives and bodies.

JLo isn’t the only Puerto Rican celebrity to support Harris, however. Stars such as Bad Bunny and Nicky Jam have spoken out against Trump, with Jam withdrawing his endorsement of Trump.

The Trump campaign has distanced itself over what comedian Tony Hinchcliffe said about Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans, saying, “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.”

Harris’ campaign launched an ad in Spanish on Thursday titled “Somos Más” or “We Are More,” a message focused on mocking Hinchcliffe. The narrator says in Spanish, “Puerto Rico is an island of scientists, poets, teachers, stars and heroes.” “We are not trash, we are more,” he said, adding, “On November 5, Trump will understand that some people’s trash is others’ treasure.”

Despite this, his emotional comments have faced a lot of backlash. One user on “Who seems to know he is losing is far behind where Biden was in 2020.”
