Jio introduces JILELE OS to Smart TV: features, availability and more
Reliance Jio has launched a smart TV operating system JILELE OS with AI-operated recommendations, 4K support and OTT integration.

Reliance Jio is expanding its digital ecosystem, which is a new operating system designed for smart TVs, with the introduction of JILELE OS. The platform AI-operated material recommendations, access to regional and global materials and 4K performance will support. According to JIO, there are about 35 million connected TV houses in India, with many users facing challenges such as limited adaptation and limited access to regional content. However, with the new Jiootel OS, the company aims to address these issues by focusing on access and content diversity.
“Geotel OS aims to change Indian homes with faster, premium and material-rich smart TV platforms at a cheaper price. It provides AI-operated recommendations, spontaneous integration of global and regional materials, support for leading apps and regular updates, ”Jio says. “Construction on this strong foundation, the Jio Jiotel is unveiled, a next generation platform, which is designed to redefine the entertainment experience by meeting the needs of Indian consumers,” Said.
The new geotel OS integrates various entertainment options and is a structured interface with AI-managed recommendations and support for various entertainment sources. Some of the major features of this new OS include:
AI-Vacible Material Recommendations: Geotel OS will offer AI-supported content recommendations to users, helping them find material in which they are interested. Although Jio has not disclosed the exact work mechanism, recommendations are expected to be based on factors such as the Watch History and Trending Content. ,
4K Performance Support: JItel OS has been adapted to high speed performance, which also provides users an interval-free experience when streaming in 4K. However, the actual performance may vary depending on the hardware specifications of individual smart TVs.
Integration of OTT, TV channels and cloud gaming: Geotel OS will provide users access to OTT platforms, live TV channels and a wide range of cloud-based gaming services.
Unified Remote Control: JILELE OS will enable users to switch between TV channels, OTT apps and cloud gaming using single remote.
Software update: JILELE OS will get regular software updates, including safety patches and new app support.
JILELE OS Availability
JILELE OS will start in India from February 21, 2025. Jio has collaborated with various brands, and will be integrated with smart TVs from key manufacturers such as OS Thomson, Kodak, BPL and JVC. The company has also confirmed that more manufacturers will adopt Jiootel OS in the coming months, which will increase the limit of options available to consumers.
