Jennifer Lopez is set to act in the upcoming Netflix movie conversion of The Last Mrs. Parish based on the best -selling novel by Lopez Live Constantine. People confirmed the casting on Thursday, 17 April. The project will be directed by the Academy Award winner Robert Zemecis, known for the Forest Gump and Back to the Future.
The 2017 psychological thriller attracted attention as the Reese Widarspoon Book Club Pick in December 2017. Since then, it has been sold over one million copies and published in more than 34 countries.
According to a description on Bookshop.org, the story follows Amber Patterson, a female living in the connecticut, which targets a rich couple, daffne and Jackson Parish. “Amber uses daffne compassion and takes care to provoke itself in family life, the first step in a careful plan to reduce it,” is written in the details.
Amber becomes the closest friend of Daffne, travels to Europe with family, and grows close to Jackson. However, the secrets of his past could have endangered his plans.
Jennifer Lopez will produce the film through his company, Neworican Productions, along with Ellen Goldsmith-Thomas and Beni Medina. Molly Sims and Lisa Chesin are also producing the film.
Netflix first adapted to development according to the variety in September 2021. The screenplay is written by Andrea Berloff (Strait Outta Competon) and John Getens (Flight), both the Academy Awards.
Apart from the final Mrs. Parish, Lopez is currently doing another Netflix film called Office Romance. She acts with Ted Laso actor Brett Goldstein, who also co-written the script. Lopez shared her excitement on Instagram and wrote, “It’s a fun.”
The final Mrs. Parish will mark the return of Robert Zemecis to direction here, which re -introduced her with Forest Gump Star Tom Hax and Robin Wright.
Lopez was last seen invincible in sports drama. His upcoming film Kiss of the Spider Woman premiered in Sunndans in January and is set for a dramatic release on 10 October.
