WATCH: Jennifer Garner shares intense workout routine for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’
American actress Jennifer Garner recently shared her workout routine for playing the role of Elektra in the Marvel film ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
Hollywood star Jennifer Garner recently shared her workout routine that she followed to play Elektra in the recently released Marvel film Deadpool and Wolverine. Garner revealed that she is fit, but not ‘Marvel fit’. In a video shared on Instagram along with a long note, the actress revealed that she did arms training, aerobics, swimming and boxing to do justice to her role.
“I remember the moment when SlaveyDirect and VancityReynolds came up with the idea to have Elektra Natchios in DeadpoolMovie 3 – we were on the set of ‘The Adam Project’ and they gave each other a look that could communicate an idea, 20 pages of dialogue, nuclear codes – there’s an amazing artistic kismet between them,” Garner shared in a lengthy note on Instagram.

In the video posted by Garner, she was seen doing a variety of workouts, including weight lifting, rope jumping and rowing, among others.
“Aside from trying to convince my kids’ preschool friends that I was secretly a ninja, I hadn’t lifted Elektra’s sais since 2004; I was fit, but not Marvel fit. As this impossible dream became reality, my best friend and OG stunt double ShawnDuggins and I ramped up our training, led by BethanyLee at The Limitfit: 1x/day, plus whatever homework she assigned for other workouts. Boxing 3x/week with flvcothefuture from MatchroomxChurchillGym. And lots of OnePeloton’s Beauxgentry. We had a #SuperheroSummer, swinging sais in the backyard and laughing at our old bodies (sic),” the actor said.
Garner first played Elektra in Daredevil (2003), starring Ben Affleck, and then had a lead role in the 2005 film Elektra.
