During its 10 season run, the sitcom welcomed a host of famous names, including Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Sean Penn, Bruce Willis, Brooke Shields, Adam Goldberg and Isabella Rossellini.

Recalling her experiences, Aniston said that despite their success on the big screen, many of the guest stars appeared surprisingly nervous.

“Film stars who came Friend: Brad, Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts, Isabella Rossellini – we had so many – Sean Penn. He was always nervous. Memorization? “I always found it interesting how nervous they were,” Aniston said.

Kudrow agreed and suggested that the show’s format may have contributed to the uncertainty.

“Because what is tone? It’s not theater; it’s for TV. It’s not a movie. What the hell is it?” Kudrow recalled how difficult it was sometimes to explain the show’s performance style to newcomers.

Aniston, recalling her transition from sitcoms to films, laughingly joked that she may have spent the early years of her film career simply speaking lines “out loud”. She was balancing at that time Friend with films like That is one And perfect picture.

The conversation also discussed some of the sitcom’s most memorable guest appearances, particularly its popular Thanksgiving episode.

Brad Pitt appeared in a Thanksgiving special in 2001, a year after marrying Aniston. He played Will Colbert, Rachel Green’s former classmate, who had a long-time grudge against her and famously formed the “I Hate Rachel Club” with Ross during their school days.

While Aniston brought up memorable special episodes from the show, Kudrow singled out the episode featuring Pitt as particularly funny. Aniston agreed, remembering it as one of the sitcom’s most hilarious performances. He said, “The Thanksgiving episode when Brad was present was hilarious,” with the latter agreeing, “That was hilarious.”

Other memorable guest stars include Witherspoon as Rachel’s younger sister Jill, Shields as Joey’s obsessive fan, and Goldberg as Chandler’s eccentric roommate. Willis and Penn also appeared in recurring roles associated with Aniston and Kudrow’s characters.

Meanwhile, she made a cameo as herself after Ross added Rossellini’s name to her list of celebrity crushes, while Roberts appeared in a two-episode storyline that remains one of the sitcom’s most talked-about guest stars.

Friend Aired from September 1994 to May 2004.
