In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.com, Jasmin said, “I think I was at the right place at the right time. As an actor, it is important that whatever I do, it makes me want to do more. I want to explore more and I am getting those opportunities. I have played different characters in my previous films, then I requested Gippy (Grewal) to give me something in which I can really play different shades. It has been a conscious decision to play different characters because I don’t like anything that is monotonous, that keeps me in the same place. So, I try to experiment with my films and roles.”

Jasmin will debut in the Punjabi film industry with Honeymoon with Gippy in 2022. She also spoke about the “recognition” of Punjabi cinema. The former Bigg Boss star said, “Cinema and audiences have matured a lot. Regional cinema is getting that recognition now. The audience has accepted regional cinema with good content and that is why Punjabi cinema is growing so much. It is because Punjabi artists have been very hardworking and they believe in originality and creating their own thing.”

The popular actor, who has previously worked in several Hindi TV shows, lauded Punjabi actors for their strong belief in stories. He highlighted that the artists of the Punjabi film industry do not follow any trend blindly. “They have never followed any trend and, because they have stuck to their originality, the audience understands this and it leads to validation. People go to cinema halls for the experience, VFX, animation and larger-than-life stories, which we are providing them. So, I think Punjabi cinema is going through its best phase right now.”

Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di released in theatres on September 13. The film focuses on spiritualism and Sikhism. The film also stars Gurpreet Ghuggi and Prince Kanwaljit.
