Janhvi Kapoor is awaiting the release of her upcoming film ‘Uljhan’. The spy thriller also stars Roshan Mathew, Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang in pivotal roles.
Janhvi keeps experimenting with her roles in films, however, in this Sudhanshu Saria directorial, she struggled while performing the action sequences. This is not us saying this, action director Nick Powell believes so.
Nick Powell said, Janhvi Kapoor did not want to hurt people on the set
The official handle of Junglee Pictures recently shared a behind the scenes video from the sets of Ulj on Instagram. In the making clip, action director Nick Powell, best known for his work in Russell Crowe’s Gladiator, can be seen talking about working with Janhvi Kapoor in Ulj.
Nick described her as a “lovely” woman, saying, “She’s very feminine and (we) were asking her to do an action scene and trying to make it look like she’s really punching people and hurting them.”
He said, “Of course, because she is scared and doesn’t intend to hurt them.” He also added that the actress didn’t want to hurt anyone on the set.
In the clip, Janhvi is seen practising an action sequence with the team and interacting with director Sudhanshu.

Janhvi Kapoor shares her experience of doing action sequences
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor talked about her experience of action training in Ulj. Janhvi revealed that she did not take combat training for the film. The actress revealed that Nick Powell ensured that her character looked authentic with the required action training.
Uljh will release on August 2 this year.

Janhvi Kapoor made her debut in 2018 with Shashank Khaitan’s film Dhadak, co-starring Ishaan Khatter. She has worked in films such as Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Mili, Good Luck Jerry, Bawal and Mr and Mrs Mahi, as well as a cameo in Teri Baton Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya.
The actress recently told Pinkvilla that she will now focus on commercial roles in her upcoming films.
The Dhadak actress is now working in Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari. It also stars Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf in important roles.
